Obituary for Marjorie V. Swallow

OAKFIELD - Marjorie V. Swallow, 92, passed away January 27, 2019 at Houlton with family members by her side. She was born December 18, 1926, in Houlton, the daughter of Ralph and Grace (Nelson) Sullivan.

She graduated from Oakfield Community High School in 1945, and after working in Augusta, she returned to Oakfield and married Archie (Joe) Swallow. She made her life as a homemaker and being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She accumulated a lifetime of friendships and could be found many nights playing cards with her close friends at various locations around Oakfield. You just never left her house unless you had something to eat.

She is survived by one son, Rodney and his wife, Norma; Two grandsons, Mark and his wife, Mandy and their daughter, Abby, and Chris and his wife, Jenna and their two daughters, Aubrey and Allie. She will be missed by two sisters, Pearle Gervais and Betty McDougal and one brother, Lewis Sullivan and their famiies. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Halden and sisters-in-law, Mary and Sida; a special nephew, Donnie, and other family members, close friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Joe, a son, Robert, two sisters, Arlene Dwyer and Phyllis Gervais, along with Jeanette Crandall who was like a sister, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

The family would like to thank "all the people who made it possible for her to stay at home as long as possible", and for the excellent care she received while at Madigan Estates and especially Dr. Abouleish for his wonderful care.
