Doris "Nana" Ingraham
HAMMOND - Doris "Nana" Ingraham, 78, died June 15, 2018 in Bangor with her family at her side. She was born Mar. 7,1940 in Houlton, the daughter of Raymond and Charlotte (Niles) McLean.
Mom grew up on a farm with nine siblings. She was no stranger to hard work and would say "nothing is free, you work for what you want". She never looked back, always on to the next adventure. Mom had the biggest heart and warmest smile that greeted you every time you came into her house. Everyone called her Nana, I don't believe anyone knew her real name, she was "My Nana". She "rocked" at playing cards even if she cheated here and there (she wasn't very discrete about it). Mom enjoyed baking, especially for family gatherings, crocheting, fishing, camping, tending her flower gardens and an occasional trip to the casino, if she could spend Jim's money. Of course she loved her side-by-side rides and kissing those grand and great grand babies. But most of all, Nana loved her family unconditionally.
She is survived by two daughters, Molly (Richard) Notto and Brenda (David) McGillicuddy; her grandchildren, James Jr. (Eunice), Tena (Gary) Lipcsci, Daniel McGillicuddy and Anissa Sabattis, Andrew McGillicuddy and Brittany Clark; great grandchildren, Michael McAfee, Eric Lipesci,Sawyer Lipesci and Grant McGillicuddy; three sisters, Lois Sylvia, Joanne (Henry) Osowiecki and Paulette (Royce) Billings; two brothers Gary (Carol) McLean and Floyd (Rena) McLean; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Donald; a grandson Michael "Mikie" Folsom II; a brother, Fred; sisters, Iris McIver, Marjorie Grant and Linda Paradis and a special aunt, Newty Chambers.
Friends may call 6 - 8pm on Monday, June 18 at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton where funeral services will be conducted 12 noon on Tuesday with Pastor Mark Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Hodgdon Cemetery.
