LITTLETON - Jason Anthony Monarca, 39, passed away April 25 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 13, 1979 in Stoneham, MA the son of John and Judy (Peterof) Monarca.
Jason grew up in Andover, MA graduating from Andover High School. He came to Maine to attend UMPI where he played baseball and graduated with a bachelors degree in criminal justice. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping and still played softball playing on several local teams. Jason was a Deacon at the United Baptist Church of Littleton and a volunteer firefighter for the town of Littleton. He was a past police officer for Limestone and a current active CBP officer stationed at Bridgewater.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jennifer Anne Monarca; his children, Lily Anne and Henry John Monarca, all of Littleton; his sister, Jessica Montesinos and her husband of Daniel of Andover MA; niece and nephew, Olivia Montesinos and Nathan Jonah; his parent-in-laws, Henry and Cynthia Jonah; brother-in-law, Steven and Nicole Jonah; aunts and uncles Anne Monarca of Medford, MA, John and Carolyn Guide of Atkinson, NH, Jim and Cheryl Grieve of Andover, MA, Pat and Angela Lawlor of Fountain Hills, AZ and cousins, Greg Recupero, Stephanie Rowe, Jimmy and Joey Grieve and Jason Chretien.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 30th at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water Street, Houlton, ME. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. at the United Baptist Church of Littleton, 1395 US Highway 1, on Tuesday, May 1st with Pastor Steve Straubel officiating.
