Obituary for Earl L. "Buddy" Cummings
STACYVILLE - Earl L."Buddy" Cummings,88, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Bangor. He was born July 4, 1929 in Davidson, the son of John J. and Lucille (Emery) Cummings.
He was an active member of St. Benedict's Church, Knights of Columbus Benedict Council, 4th degree assembly 1876 and M.V.S.D. He dedicated his life to his family and their dairy farm and could always be found in his tractor mowing grass or plowing snow. In 1989, the farm was selected as Maine Dairy Farm of the year. Earl had a love of work horses and he would use his sleigh to go out in the woods for family gatherings and would give rides in support of charitable events.
He is survived by his loving companion, Esther Greenier; his children, Sherry and Jeff Arsenault of Bangor, John L. and Joyce Cummings of Stacyville, Earl J. and Susan Cummings of Silver Ridge, Debbie and Rick Long of Sherman, Diana Ouellette and her significant other, Galen West of Caribou, Jeffery and Kathy Cummings of Herman and Christopher and Norma Cummings of Stacyville; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Cummings of Stacyville; special nieces and nephews, Brenda Lang and Scott Lenzzo. Besides his parents, Earl was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Cecelia; his sister, Leah; brother Peter; 2 grandchildren, Kate and Scott.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m.on Sunday, March 18th at St. Benedict's Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. on Monday with Father Bruce Siket celebrant.
